The SAC 7-35 gives you more bang for your navigation buck Whether you’re upgrading to one of the new generation navigation system or just wanting to get the most out of the system already installed in your aircraft, the SAC 7-35 should be at the top of your system options.

The SAC 7-35 is four systems in one:

  • Altitude Encoder. The SAC 7-35 is FAA TSO Approved as an altitude encoder. It provides standard Gillham Grey code for legacy transponders and RS-232 data for the new generations of transponders.
  • Altitude Alerting. The SAC 7-35 has SANDIA Aerospace’s exclusive AIM (Altitude Inflight Monitoring) that alerts the pilot anytime he deviates more than 100 feet from his selected altitude.
  • Fuel Flow. The addition of a fuel flow transducer (two for a twin) and your SAC 7-35 provides all the fuel flow data your navigation systems needs to monitor your fuel situation.
  • Airdata Computer. The SAC 7-35 is a full up TSO’d Airdata Computer offering all of the functions and capabilities of systems costing thousands of dollars more. The SAC 7-35 has multiple interface formats that allow it to provide data to a wide variety of avionics systems.

Canadian TAWS Information

Sandia Aerospace SAC 7-35 Airdata Computer has now been approved by Sandel for the Sandel ST3400 TAWS Class A display. The Sandel TAWS  and the Sandia SAC 7-35 solution also meets the new Transport Canada requirements for Enhanced Altitude Accuracy (EAA ) as referenced in the Transport Canada Advisory Circular for (TAWS) AC 600-003.

Transport Canada has already approved several solution of the Sandel ST3400 TAWS Class A display, integrated with existing compatible GPS receivers such as the Garmin GNS400/500 and GTN6XX/7XX Series Navigators with A dedicated and compatible Sandia Aerospace SAC 7-35.

A: 1) What kind of terminal emulator are you using? Hyper terminal is the most common used. (baud: 9600, bits:8, stop bits:1, parity: none) and connected to COM:1 port of the computer. 2) Bad DIN connector. 3) No ADC power. 4) Once the ADC is connected to the computer, cycle the power on the ADC and check for the configuration page on the computer screen.

A: There are 2 known reasons: 1)The synco is probably mis-wired. 2) You will need to have a peanut converter installed to boast the 26Vac 400hz. Mid Continent sells a unit to handle this issue.
